Goizueta Foundation Grant to Expand Agape’s Program

agapekidsThe Goizueta Foundation has awarded Agape Youth and Family Center $235,000 over three years to expand Agape’s award winning elementary program to include students from E. Rivers Elementary School. This gift expands The Goizueta Foundation and Agape’s community partnership to six years.  This grant will increase Agape’s delivery of a five-day-a-week academic supportive services program from 150 to 200 school-age children served each day during the school year, growing the program by 25%.

Agape serves a community which includes more than 2,000 students from underserved families, providing programs and services focusing on academic achievement, character development, reading proficiency by third grade, high school graduation and post-graduation planning.

This partnership between The Goizueta Foundation and Agape will continue to provide innovative education-focused programming to empower and support local families, to produce lasting change in the NW Atlanta.
