2017 Spring Benefit

This is the largest Agape community gathering of the year. The Spring Benefit is an elegant, “cocktail party” style event with open bars, hors d’oeuvres, student success stories and a fund-able item auction. Our goal this year is to raise $250,000 to support youth development and education programs at Agape! This year’s celebration was on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Flourish.

Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Great Day of Service at Agape

On Saturday, March 19, 2016, Peachtree Road United Methodist Church hosted church members and friends, giving them the opportunity to “put their faith in action as they serve those in need across Atlanta.”

2016 Great Backpack Give-Away

Join Agape in our efforts to provide backpacks & school supplies to over 1,500 kids in need as they get ready to start the new school year at our annual drive.

Last year, Agape distributed over 1,900 backpacks full of school supplies. Feel free to get involved by holding your own backpack drives or sponsoring a backpack filled with supplies for $50 per child! This year’s give-away will be on Friday, July 29 at Agape and volunteer sign up begins June 1, 2016!

The 6th Annual Agape Golf Charity Tournament

2016 Extreme Bedroom MakeoverPicture7

In learning more about our families, Agape discovered that many of the children in our programs had little to no furniture at all. Agape’s Extreme Bedroom Makeover began in 2010, with volunteer teams providing new paint, new bedrooms and a whole new outlook for 124 children in need and counting! This year’s makeover event will be Friday and Saturday, October 14-15, 2016.

2016 Great Thanksgiving Basket Give-Away

In partnership with The Lovett School, the goal of this giveaway is to provide a turkey and a bag of all the fixings for 500+ families in need at Thanksgiving. In 2015, we accomplished this goal and hope you can be a part of this amazing experience. This year’s give-away is Friday, November 18 and volunteer signup begins August 1, 2016

2016 Mother Daughter Tea

The Tea is an annual social for middle school girls and their moms to benefit youth development and education programming at Agape. This intimate, fun-filled affair is an amazing event to form stronger bonds, create memories and celebrate mothers and daughters. This year’s Tea is Sunday, November 13. Tickets will go on sale this Fall.

2016 Agape Holiday Gift Store

With the help of the community, Agape’s 2015 Agape Holiday Gift Store provided gifts for over 300 children from under-served families in 2015.  Agape’s first floor community room was transformed into a holiday gift store staffed by volunteers for a full week for family holiday “shopping” from gift donations. This year’s gift store is scheduled for December 12-16 and volunteer signup begins this Fall.
