NAVIGATE PROGRAM PURPOSE: Support for high school and alumni students as they prepare for and navigate their futures in college, technical school, full-time employment, and beyond.
In 2024, Agape extended support for high school students to include alumni aged 18-25 with the launch of our college and career program, NAVIGATE. The program’s mentorship supports our alumni as they navigate their futures in college, technical school, full-time employment, and beyond. High school students continue to receive mentorship and guidance as they prepare to graduate and determine their post-secondary pathway.
Program Components:
- 1 on 1 Coaching: Custom mentoring based on the needs of the participant (Career advice, college persistence, financial aid, life coaching)
- Adulting 101: Workshops and classes helping navigate the transition from High School to Adulthood (budgeting, tax preparation, Entrepreneurship, Professional Development, Basic Auto Skills, Credit Scores, Applying to Graduate School, Resume and Interview Skills, Cooking basics and Meal planning).
- Career Exploration: Support finding job training programs, internships, and jobs in the participants’ field of choice.
Partnership Opportunities:
- Job Training Referrals: We are looking for partner with high quality, proven, job training programs to refer our Alumni to.
- Adulting 101: We are looking for partners to provide programming in the following areas: budgeting, tax preparation, Entrepreneurship, Professional Development, Basic Auto Skills, Credit Scores, Applying to Graduate School, Resume and Interview Skills, Cooking basics and Meal planning.
- Internships: We are looking for partners with paid internships opportunities for our college students to gain valuable work experience and on the job training.
- Workplace Tours: Let us come visit you! We are looking for corporate partners to host workplace tours to increase our career exploration opportunities.
