Agape Youth & Family Center is pleased to share that we are submitting an application in response to the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE)’s Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers FY26 Request for Application. The application was submitted on January 30, 2025. The proposed Agape 21st Century Community Learning Center will be a transformative force in the lives of 100 elementary students confronting the challenges of generational poverty. The proposed 21st CCLC program will be uniquely positioned to bridge critical gaps in academic achievement by delivering nearly 800 hours of high-quality interventions annually through comprehensive afterschool and summer programming. By integrating targeted academic support, social-emotional learning, enrichment activities, and robust family engagement, Agape will empower students to achieve measurable gains in literacy and math, engage in enriching experiences, and benefit from increased parental involvement. Beyond academics, Agape prioritizes fundamental needs such as food security and transportation, ensuring that no barrier prevents a child from participating. In the communities Agape serves, closing opportunity gaps requires intentional, sustained action. Agape’s holistic model ensures that both students and their families receive the support they need to thrive—academically, socially, and economically.
