Corporate volunteers provide invaluable real life experience, new information as to what options are open to our kids, and positive role models demonstrating how their lives could look. Your two hour visit could make a big impact on the children we serve.

Corporate Tutor Days occur on the days when we have after-school programming.  Your team visit will begin with a brief orientation about the issues we address, the specific work that is done here, and how your visit will make an impact. There is free parking on site and your visiting team will be guided by an Agape development staff member.  Your team can then engage with our elementary and/or middle school students during Homework Hour, helping students to complete their assignments, followed by your planned 30-45 minute activity/presentation for the students during enrichment time.

Approximate time schedule as indicated below:

  • 2:45 Arrive & orientation
  • 3:15/3:30 Homework buddy help for elementary age children (Due to later dismissal, middle school students arrive closer to 5:00)
  • 4:15 Guests career talk with the kids – share your profession & industry
  • 4:45 Guests depart

The children you engage will either be elementary school age or middle school age; 90% are Hispanic Latino and 10% African American; 100% qualify for free or reduced price lunch at school.
