THE 2017 MOTHER DAUGHTER TEA
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5 IN THE BEAUTIFUL BALLROOM AT PIEDMONT DRIVING CLUB
Join Agape and our keynote speaker, Rosalind Brewer, incoming President and COO of Starbucks group for an afternoon of empowerment.
The Tea is an annual event for middle school girls and their moms to benefit youth development and education programming at Agape. This is a one of a kind afternoon that will leave attendees, women and girls alike, refreshed on life, leadership, and community. All while being surrounded by a room full of prominent, women leaders and their girls.
Agape empowers and supports underserved families within northwest Atlanta to discover and embrace their full potential. Agape’s service area includes over 2,000 school-aged children in a community that is challenged by generational poverty, high crime and high student dropout rates, and much more. All Agape youth participants are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program based on family income. 98% of Agape students in the afterschool program were promoted to the next grade. 69% of Agape students achieved a 3.0 grade point average the first semester of the 2016-2017 school year. 100% of the high school seniors in our mentoring program have graduated high school, since 2009. Our programs work, thanks to the support of our donors, volunteers and friends. Come and be a part of it!
