In learning more about our families, Agape discovered that many of the children in our programs had little to no furniture at all. Agape’s Extreme Bedroom Makeover began in 2010, with volunteer teams providing new paint, new bedrooms and a whole new outlook for 154 children in need and counting! EBM has won the Carl V. Patton President’s Award for Community Partnership from Georgia State University.
Sponsoring volunteer teams paint and decorate the bedrooms of children living in an impoverished area of northwest Atlanta, most of whom have never had their own bed before.
If you’re interested in being a sponsor this year, here are some details on opportunities:
- This project requires sponsorship of approximately $1,500 per bedroom
- Sponsors provide a 5 member team for each bedroom (Average 2 bedrooms per home)
- Volunteer shifts are:
- Friday, October 19 from 4pm to 7pm- 5 volunteers needed
- Saturday, October 20 from 9am to 2pm- 5 volunteers needed
